Signs of Suicide (Middle School)

Signs of Suicide Middle School Program: Time to ACT

Grades 7 or 8 (ages 12-15)

The Signs of Suicide Middle School Program is an  evidence-based program which provides comprehensive depression and suicide prevention education. Students also learn valuable helping skills using ACT (Acknowledge, Care, Tell). On the last day of the program students are screened for depression using the Brief Screen for Adolescent Depression (BSAD) and connected with counselors for follow-up. Each student also has the option to self-refer to a counselor in order to discuss any concerns they may have for themselves or a friend.
