Grades Pre-K and Kindergarten (ages 4-6)

The Hands and Words are Not For Hurting Project’s Purple Hand Preschool Curriculum sets the foundation for youth participants by providing core violence prevention messages through engaging activities, reading, and group discussions. The program is fun and helps young children develop skills to establish healthy relationships and respond to emotions, specifically anger, in healthy and helpful ways. In the end, students will be able to better identify feelings and to understand that how we act on those feelings is our choice.
